Suzanne Brennan Firstenberg, a social-practice artist, blanketed 20 acres of the National Mall with over 700,000 white flags last September, to honor each person lost to COVID-19

and to help our nation understand the amplitude of suffering. Beyond data visualization, this art installation was the physical manifestation of empathy, the medium in which Firstenberg sculpts. She will share stories from the In America: Remember art installation and discuss the importance of siting public art.
All Adult Education programs in January will be on Zoom. Contact Noelle, ncastin@opmh.org for the zoom link.
