Lent is generally viewed as a long (40 days) prelude to the joys of Easter. Scripture focuses on penitence as the appropriate preparation for the resurrection and that is certainly an important element of this time in the church year. In these weeks, we will consider this important season through the lens of objects that would have been a part of Jesus’ life, guided by Jill Duffield’s new devotional, Lent in Plain Sight.
