Caring for the Creation

Caring for the Creation

9:30 am - 10:40 am

Dr. David Kepley (Chair, Providence Presbyterian Church’s [Fairfax, VA] Earth Care Team; Chair, National Capital Presbytery Earth Care Network)

Given the apparent conflicting signals in Genesis, it has been challenging for Christians to have a clear notion of how we are to faithfully interact with the Creation. Are we stewards acting in partnership with God or are we to have dominion over the Creation, subduing it? There are verses that support each position. Dr. Kepley will lead us into the controversy, but promises to get us out again! His challenge to the Meeting House is to understand our Christian calling for the Creation and respond faithfully.
