|Join the fun at the Fall Retreat! The Massanetta Retreat is an annual multi-generational weekend held to nurture faith and strengthen the bonds of Christian fellowship at the Meeting House. Lodging, meals, childcare, and all program costs for children, teens and adults are included. Children two and under attend free of charge.
Registration fees include two nights lodging and six meals (Friday supper – Sunday lunch). The Hough Fund generously subsidizes the Retreat.
Our guest speaker is the Rev. A. Katherine Grieb, Ph.D., Professor of New Testament at the Virginia Theological Seminary. Her theme will be “Partnership in Christ – Paul’s Letter to the Phillippians.” Paul writes to the Phillippians from prison, not knowing whether he will be able to see them again. Their special friendships are characterized by a focus on the cross of Christ which, paradoxically, causes great rejoicing.
Registration closes October 21 and no refunds will be given after this date. Please fill out the form below completely. If paying by check, send to the Meeting House office (323 S. Fairfax St., Alexandria, 22314) or drop in the Sunday collection basket. For online payments, use the “Church Retreat Massanetta” fund.
