CALLED MEETING OF SESSION
OLD PRESBYTERIAN MEETING HOUSE
February 3, 2008
The meeting was called to order with prayer by the acting Moderator, the Rev. Ann Herlin, in the absence of the Moderator, the Rev. Dr. Robert R. Laha, in the Elliot House parlor at 10:34 am. The purpose of the meeting was to receive new members. Rev. Herlin noted that a quorum for purposes of receiving new members was present.
Roll was taken:
MEMBERS OF SESSION PRESENT: Ed Cassidy, Cynthia Douglass, James Foley, Richard Johnson, Jeffrey Lenn, Joseph McCoy, Cary Pugh and Beth Sanderson.
MEMBERS OF SESSION EXCUSED: David Anderson, C. L. Bearman, Rebecca Bostick, Dona DeLeon, Lee Dorman, Tom Downey, Douglas Feaver, Denise Ferguson, Christine Gallagher, Christine Heiby, Peggy Jeens, Eric Johnson, Kem Toole Johnson, Carole Kordich, Robert Neitz, and Larry Rood.
MEMBERS OF SESSION ABSENT: None
OTHERS PRESENT: Other new members.
Rev. Herlin welcomed the prospective new member who introduced herself to the Session. Elders present introduced themselves and their ministries. It was then moved, seconded and approved unanimously to receive as member:

• Catherine Kent Steadman from Second Presbyterian, Roanoke, VA
Elders present welcomed the new member and other new members present. The meeting adjourned with prayer by Rev. Herlin at 10:39 a.m.
