CALLED MEETING OF SESSION

OLD PRESBYTERIAN MEETING HOUSE

December 9, 2007

The meeting was called to order with prayer by the Moderator, the Rev. Dr. Robert R. Laha in the Sanctuary at 12:20 p.m.  The purpose of the meeting was to receive new members.  Dr. Laha noted that a quorum for purposes of receiving new members was present.  Elder Rebecca Bostick was appointed acting clerk for the meeting in the absence of the Clerk of Session.

Roll was taken: 

      MEMBERS OF SESSION PRESENT: David Anderson, Rebecca Bostick, Ed Cassidy, Tom Downey, Christine Heiby; Peggy Jeens, Richard Johnson, Robert Neitz, Lawrence Rood 

      MEMBERS OF SESSION EXCUSED: C. L. Bearman, Dona DeLeon, Lee Dorman, Cynthia Douglass, Douglas Feaver, Denise Ferguson, James Foley, Christine Gallagher, Rev. Ann Herlin, Eric Johnson, Kem Toole Johnson, Carole Kordich, Jeffrey Lenn, Joseph McCoy, Cary Pugh, Beth Sanderson   

      MEMBERS OF SESSION ABSENT:  None

      Dr. Laha introduced the prospective new members.  It was then moved, seconded and approved unanimously to receive the following persons as members:   

     By Reaffirmation of Faith:  Anthony “Tony” M. Sherman 

      Elders present introduced themselves to the new members.  The meeting adjourned with prayer by the Moderator at 12:30 p.m.
