CALLED MEETING OF SESSION
OLD PREBYTERIAN MEETING HOUSE
June 17, 2007
The meeting was called to order with prayer by the Acting Moderator, Rev. Ann Herlin in the Sanctuary at 11:__ a.m. The purpose of the meeting was to receive new members. Rev. Herlin noted that a quorum for purposes of receiving new members was present. Elder Doug Feaver was appointed acting clerk for the meeting in the absence of the Clerk of Session
Roll was taken:
MEMBERS OF SESSION PRESENT: David Anderson, Rebecca Bostick, Ed Cassidy, Lee Dorman, Cynthia Douglass, Douglas Feaver, Denise Ferguson, Christine Heiby, Peggy Jeens, Richard Johnson, Joseph McCoy.
MEMBERS OF SESSION EXCUSED: C. L. Bearman, Dona DeLeon, Thomas Downey, James Foley, Christine Gallagher, Eric Johnson, Kem Toole Johnson, Carole Kordich, Robert Neitz, Cary Pugh, Larry Rood, Beth Sanderson
MEMBERS OF SESSION ABSENT: None
Revs. Laha and Herlin introduced the prospective new members. It was then moved, seconded and approved unanimously to receive the following persons as members:
By Letter of Transfer Mica Robertson from First Presbyterian, Hamlet, NC; Stephen Dale, from First Presbyterian, Lenoir, NC
By Reaffirmation of Faith: Mary Helen Uusimaki and Ville Uusimaki.

Elders present introduced themselves. The meeting adjourned with prayer by the Moderator at 11:27 a.m.
