The Meeting House Welcomes You to our worship services, education classes, and fellowship activities. At Sunday services, a greeter is available to answer questions and direct you through the double doors into the sanctuary (321 S. Fairfax Street, Old Town Alexandria) where the service is held. Handicapped accessibility is by a ramp to the side door.
Sunday services (September through June) are at 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. with a Christian education hour for all ages at 9:30 a.m. In summer a single morning service is held at 10:00 a.m. and there is no Christian education hour. In the summer, informal Sunday evening services are held in Heritage Hall at 6:30 p.m. The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper is served weekly at the 8:30 a.m. service, and periodically at the later service. The Presbyterian Church (USA) invites all baptized Christians, including children, to share in the sacrament, recognizing that it “is not a right conferred on the worthy, but a privilege given to the undeserving who come in faith, repentance, and love.” Infant and toddler childcare is available during every worship service. Your child will be given loving care. To take advantage of this service enter the Christian Education building (S. Royal Street end of campus) via the double curved stairway located on the brick courtyard. Christian Education Hour (9:30am) offers classes for all ages, including adults. All are welcome; class schedules and topics for adult education are posted on the website, around the church campus, and in the pew bulletin. For information about children’s classes, inquire at the Sunday School office, located just inside the Christian Education building (S. Royal Street side of campus). Enter the building via the double curved stairway on the brick courtyard. There is no Christian education in the summertime. If you wish to explore membership at the Meeting House please let us know. You can learn more about our church family by speaking to our pastors or worship service greeters. We also offer a multi-week Inquirer’s Class several times a year during the Sunday education hour. You may request a call or visit from a pastor by calling the church or noting your request in the Friendship Pad available in the pews during services. Directions and map.
