Be watching for further updates in the months to come!

RESPONSIBILITIES OF ELDERS
It is the duty of elders to strengthen and nurture the faith and life of the congregation. Together with the pastor, they should encourage the people in the worship and service of God, equip and renew them for their tasks within the church and for their mission in the world, and care for the people, with special attention to the poor, the sick, the lonely, and those who are oppressed. Serving elders of OPMH regularly attend all monthly and called meetings of the Session, participate in worship assignments when scheduled, attend officer training when provided, reach out to members and visitors during Coffee Hours, participate regularly in activities of the church, actively serve on the committee(s) to which they are assigned, agree to chair a committee if requested by the moderator, and serve as Elder-Commissioner to Presbytery, if elected.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF DEACONS The primary role of the deacons at OPMH is that of providing the ministry of care and compassion to our members. Deacon responsibilities include the following: attendance at church officer training sessions; attendance at monthly meetings; regular attendance at worship and activities of the church; participation in worship support activities as scheduled; responding to expressed needs as they may arise within the congregation, including providing an occasional listening ear, visiting a member who is hospitalized or homebound, responding to a question of church concern, and otherwise extending the care of the congregation.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF TRUSTEES Trustees serve as legal representatives of the congregation as instructed by the Session and congregation. They serve as overseers of the Endowment Trust, under supervision of the Session.
