Basic mission support is the term used to describe the funds pledged by local Presbyterian congregations to undergird the mission budget of their PC(USA) Presbytery (65%), Synod (5%), and General Assembly (30%). It provides general funds for educators, administrators, doctors, nurses, youth workers, evangelists, and other Christians who start new congregations, provide resources, enable children to go to camp, support community ministries, increase interfaith dialogue, meet low-income housing needs, provide campus ministries, and offer refugee assistance, among many other programs. PC(USA) and National Capital Presbytery missions programs to which the Meeting House directs additional support include: Medical Benevolence Foundation The Shack Neighborhood House in Pursglove, West Virginia International Student Program, Meeting House members host international students at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter Presbyterian Homelessness Fellows Program
Geographically specific PC(USA) missions to which the Meeting House directs additional support include the following, which are of particular interest or complement the Meeting House's own national/global missions program: In Pakistan, Presbyterian Church of Pakistan Literacy Program for Members; Forman Christian College In Kenya, Fighting AIDS in Africa; Presbyterian College Library In Palestine, Bright Stars/The International Center of Bethlehem; Peacemaking in the Middle East In Mexico, The Borderlinks Program In Peru, Micro-Enterprise Development through Bridge of Hope (Hands against Hunger) Program In Haiti, Disaster Response In Sudan, Joseph Dyer, Mission Worker
