Mission Rebuilding Together: On Sat., April 28th, the Meeting House will join with other groups all around Alexandria for a “blitz” day of home repairs for low-income, elderly, and disabled homeowners. Many Thanks for the Lenten Challenge for the United Orphanage and Academy: The combined efforts of Westminster and the Meeting House have succeeded in raising $12,541, with over $3,000 from the Meeting House. When combined with the $10,000 match this means that there will be $22,541 available for disposition as follows: $15,000 for a good used van, $4,000 to construct a new kitchen building, $2,000 to fence the property and $1,541 to establish a van maintenance fund. Singing for Peace: World children’s Choir. This is a professional vocal ensemble that has sung at the White House, the Kennedy Center and dignitaries through the world. Proceeds benefit the United Orphanage and Academy in Moi’s Bridge, Kenya. Church News Church Work Day: The Facilities Committee invites you to a workday at the church on Saturday April 14th from 8 am to 12 noon.
