This Sunday at the Meeting House

The Old Presbyterian Meeting House is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA) with around 1,000 members. We are an historic congregation dedicated to growing in faith and serving the Lord not only in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia, but all around the world.

  • Sunday worship services are at 8:30 and 11:00 am.
  • The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper is celebrated each Sunday at 8:30.
  • Child care is available during all Sunday worship services.
  • Education classes for all ages are held from 9:30-10:40 am.

A New Meeting House Tradition!  Sunday, May 18, beginning with 10am worship 

On Sunday, May 18, the whole congregation will gather for worship at 10am.  After the service, we’ll divide into teams and go out into our community for a few hours of hands-on service.  There will be activities appropriate for all ages and ability levels, including young children and those with lesser mobility.  Read on to see a list of activities, and please pre-register by filling out this online form.

Food Drive!
Mission
Please bring non-perishable foods on May 11 or May 18.  Donations will be made to the food pantries at Christ House and at ALIVE!  In a time of rising food prices, the need is great. 
 
Vacation Bible School
Children
God’s Big Backyard in our backyard

Vacation Bible School 2008 will be Monday through Friday, June 23-27.  We will be learning about people in the Bible who served others and finding ways that we can serve neighbors in Jesus’ name.  Through Bible study, crafts, music, and special snacks and games we will all learn how much fun serving the Lord can be.  Children ages 3 years through completing 5th grade are invited to join us for the backyard fun.
